Question for you:

What is life if not lived? Actively and genuinely? Aggressively and Consistently?

There is one question I ask myself everyday which I usually answer with a lie:

If I were to drop dead RIGHT NOW would I be happy with the life I was living? The life you HAVE lived does not seem as applicable as the life you WERE living at the time of death. Meaning it is never to late to change the direction of your life, never.

Right now I lie to my self about my happiness in life. I am happy but I believe a few changes could make me happier….just a thought….those are never ending.

Stating the obvious......

I along with every other sane person on this planet:

am not a fan of BITCHY people......especially when my job 'requires' me to 'deal' with these bitchy people. These are the same individuals who (if they spoke to me/approached me with the same attitude outside of work) I would call them out without hesitation any day.......

but I AM a fan of NICE people…big fan….can’t get enough of those people in the world….

Stop the lies...

I think it is time I stopped fooling my self into beleiving that I like my job. I don't. I hate my job. How do I know? I never come home and truly feel like I had a good day at work...just another day of work.

If I had a job that allowed me to have on good day of work, that would be ten times better than ZERO!

I would like to think of my self as a “nice guy”. It feels good to win.

Family

It is not often that I fall in to the cliché category of things, especially when it comes to Hallmark Holidays like Fathers Day. BUT. Yesterday from the morning to the night was an amazing day for my family and I. I really needed that. There are not many things in this world that allow me to feel so whole and centered as being at peace with my family. There is nothing in the world that is quite fulfilling as having a loving family and loving them in return. I am now a fan of this Hallmark Holiday, because it is set up to help those like my self, who are caught up in the rat race (for now at least) of American Life and too often allow for the important things to fall by the wayside; like LOVING your family. Yesterday’s ‘holiday’ needed to do no more than serve as a reminder that I have a loving family, and I should take time out of my life to spend with them while I can; no one gets further from death in this world, so why wait?

Also, I now have a reminder that I probably should not wait for this once a year occasion to come to this realization. I think I am allowed to spend more time than one day out of the year with my family…..they are awesome…

Three Day Weekends

Is it sad to think of a three-day weekend as AMAZING, a new lease on life? Does that imply that I have become such a day-job-worker bee person that I look at a three-day weekend as the greatest gift I have received in a very long time?!

Either way this past weekend (including Presidents Day) was like a little mini-vacation, and it was amazing! I feel so refreshed and relaxed today that I wish every work week could be four days…it is such a good idea, and my mind and body thank me for the great weekend.

To having fun on weekends, and coming to work happy!

Sweet, there are only three days left in this week.

I am a free man....I feel so good and relieved it is amazing! Yesterday I quit my second job (the part time job) and it feels so good! Hell’s yes, I am a free man! That is something worth talking about!
